Leaving the picturesque city of Ventura decided to go to one of the most popular and most visited by tourists from around the world region of North America, which is without two meals of Big Sur. The journey was long and exhausting, and every few miles we stopped in to visit and admire the sea lions, and breathtaking views. Let's start, so from the beginning, from the basic information about Big Sur.
Big Sur is a region located in the State of California. It is a sparsely populated area, which offers an unforgettable experience for all incoming sensory and aesthetic. This region stretches for some 158km from the Caramel River and moving to San Carpoforo Creek (and maybe the other way around?). The whole region is relatively poor, because only a few of accommodation and shops, which can be counted on the fingers of one hand. But the issue is not the world of entertainment centers and continuing events, but about the beauty of the landscape, massive cliffs, and natural flora and fauna - all this can be seen in its entirety Big Sur.

Driving the highway, popularly known as the "number one" admire the stunning views. We are glad that the sun is shining, because without it, all this would not be so beautiful. With the weather we have very good visibility. All the cliffs of the coast located between the two picturesque bays give the impression of the place where one would like to stay forever, build a house by the sea and live in harmony with nature. How does it well, that dreams do not cost ...

We stopped on the roadside to admire the iridescent in sunlight Ocean waters, which takes the color of blue, turquoise and deep dark green ending. Our cameras, in a moment filled with dozens of photos. In all this beautiful unspoilt countryside only drawback is the strong, gusty winds. After a short conversation with other tourists, we learned that these strong winds completely zdmuchnęły their tent last night - wind power speaks for itself, because the whole structure to break out the tent, you need a really big and strong gust, and this blows over the shores of Big Sur, a it is.

We arrive at San Simeon, where on the forefront of imposing building. Intrigued by its architecture and history decide to enter it, and do some a few memorable images. It turns out that this structure is called the Hearst Castle and it is owned by the influential newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst. Building on its sumptuous flavors chills and a note of envy, because no average person in your whole life does not live in such a stately palace (it will not be). From local residents, and the guides we learned that Hearst Castle is located up to 18 850 m2, and its spacious interior holds up to 340 rooms. The entire building is one big giant, where dozens of watch cleaners, maintenance staff, cooks and gardeners. By the way we are curious about how much time it takes to reach the household of the bedroom to the kitchen or the bathroom to the living room. For Americans, this building is certainly a rarity well - after all, not every day they see buildings that look like built in the 17th century.

We will continue our tour. Hearst Castle Leaving our eyes are again driven into the surrounding beauty and its captivating landscapes. Suddenly interrupt the blissful peace of unidentified sounds. Stop immediately and our eyes appear sipping on the rocks of sea lions. Of course, the creation of these had already been given to us to see at the zoo before, but never before in the wild. How astonishing is the fact that these animals, despite their very large size moving at such a turning motion. Niedoścignionymi swimmers are very likeable animals. Passing a whole segment of the region, which stretches along the Big Sur took the entire day - after all, a small gap in the way we stopped to admire and explore scenic areas. Next time we will consider, however, is not it better to go on the highway and the Big Sur to go on a day trip from San Francisco - although the views are unforgettable.

Unfortunately, there we were able to see the sunset because of the hitherto cloudless sky nadciągnęły thick snowy clouds - a pity, because to see the sunset over this beautiful view, it just has to be an unforgettable impression. While sweeping through the hills clouds clouds are impressive - not, unfortunately, we were able to take photos - though probably not, and so would give to what we saw live.
The journey back goes through, or rather highway CA1 - yes, the one that we were no longer the go. This is a highway that will allow us to reach a quick way to San Francisco without a walk and look at the map of our destination. What a nice feeling to move on the road even and straight. Although fatigue did not feel any discomfort, do not drive less but does not get used too much, because in a few days back to Polish, where waiting for us uneven, full of holes and ruts roads. However, we do not think what would happen after his return home, because ahead of us is a hole of San Francisco.
